Gainesville
Reformed Presbyterian
Church

Welcome

The Gainesville Reformed Presbyterian Fellowship began in August, 2021, when three families started meeting together for a weekly Bible study and, soon, a weekly worship service.

Together, we seek to bear a witness to Jesus Christ’s rule and reign over all human beings, including their governments. We seek to believe all that is taught in the Bible, which we hold to be inerrant and authoritative. We seek to worship God only as He has commanded. We seek to live our lives in faithfulness to God’s instructions in the Holy Scriptures, in order to honor Him and advance His Kingdom throughout the earth.

We invite you to join us in this endeavor.

About Us

We are part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, organized in 1798, with congregations across the USA.

We function under the oversight of the elders of our sending church, the Orlando Reformed Presbyterian Church: Dr. Nathan Eshelman, Pastor; Jonathan Schaefer, Mark Goerner, Alejandro Ramirez, Kevin Duffey, and Joseph Worsham, ruling elders.

Our pastor is Rev. Thomas G. Reid Jr., who has served as pastor of congregations in three countries (Ireland, Canada, and Kansas), as well as in theological education, most recently at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pastor Reid and his wife Geneviève live in northwest Gainesville.

Reid On: Why This Church?

Why a new church in a city and region filled with churches? The name of the Gainesville Reformed Presbyterian Church helps answer this question. We are Reformed in theology. We hold to what the apostle Paul calls “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 18:27), all of the...
