The nation is the creation of the Creator God, the One who made mankind, male and female.  “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness … So God created man in His own image; in the image of God[,] He created him; male and female[,] He created them” (Gen. 1:26a, 27 New King James Version; italics in the original).  Unlike marriage (Gen. 2:18-25); children (Gen. 1:28); the family (Gen. 4:1); and the Sabbath (Gen. 2:2-3), the nation is not a creation ordinance of God, established at the very beginning of mankind.  Rather, the nation was created by God later, after the Flood in the time of Noah, for the benefit of mankind as it multiplied and dispersed around the globe.  “From these [humans,] the coastland peoples of the Gentiles were separated into their lands, everyone according to his own language, according to their families, into their nations” (Gen. 10:5).  Note the passive voice of the verb “were separated”.  By whom were they separated?  Only the Creator God had the authority, power, and motive to do so.  The nation is God’s creation!
